It's friday

Today was another day in city Soleil. We just had Dr. Bill today, so we spread out the work. We saw a total of 52 people today, which was pretty good. Carla, Dr. Bill, Jean, Father Rick's guard, and I took a walk down to the water to take some pictures. It's so sad because their beach is covered in layers and layers of trash.
We also went to a hotel tonight that was at the very top of this hill. It had an amazing view of the country. We had some burgers and beers with Jean, our driver Marciel, and a few of Will's friends. Upon our return back home we found a tarantula on our driveway at home.

Yesterday I posted a picture of the slum from above on google earth. Here is a picture i got of the same area from the ground.

I don't want to overload the blog with misery, but this image is one that was so appalling that I felt it had to be seen. People live immediately to the left of the picture and we set up the clinic about 1000 feet to the right.

In the picture is Dr. Bill Boyce standing with our assigned driver from Operation Blessing - Marcel.
